What is Reiki?

In short you can answer the question 'what is Reiki' that it is an ancient healing method in which the practitioner functions as a channel of universal energy as he gives it to himself or others.

Many mental or physical complaints can be dealt with and resolved using this method. Reiki can also offer relief to a hectic daily lifestyle and aid relaxation even for people without the aforementioned conditions.

The aim of this website is to raise awareness of the phenomenon of "Universal Energy" or Reiki.

The word Reiki is Japanese and simply translates as "Universal" -Rei "Energy" - Ki.

How does it work?

It is a form of healing where the practitioner uses their hands to give the receiver more universal life force. The practitioner isn't a doctor and can't remove illnesses. He can, however, make sure the energy streams to where it is needed, so the receiver's body is able to heal.

Universal energy is present in all people from birth but because of the pressures of daily life and the need to fullfill other people's expectations it becomes pushed into the background.

Because of this and often through painfull past experiences, the life's energy flow becomes disturbed and it's flow gradually decreases.

Through Reiki treatments these short-comings can be improved and your body shall start to repair itself on both a mental and physical level. The spiral of energy shall ascend once again.

To people with little knowledge of this subject it may sound rather confusing. Scientific researchers, however, have proven that physical conditions are healed or reduced quicker with the use of Reiki and that it provides relief from mental and emotional complaints.

What about me?

Reiki is something that is present in everyone. Only the knowledge to use it at the right times is often not present. It may sound very complicated, but it is quite simple. Not only is it present in everyone, but everyone can learn to use it.

To  start as a practitioner you need to follow a course which includes inaugurations. Without these you aren't ready to practise Reiki. During these inaugurations your sixth sense, as it is commonly known, reactivates and after that you will be in a position to help yourself, your family and others.

Or you can start to experience a treatment.

You'll find more information about this under the blog courses and treatments.

Giving Reiki and becoming a Reiki practitioner is open to anyone who is open to it.
